Project in progress

On Saturday and Sunday of last week I attempted to make a courthouse, but I didn't like the way it was comming out. So this weekend I'm going to make a second attempt to build it. I think this time around I'll use a green square plate to build on instead of a really large gray square plate.

Office Building/observation tower

On Sunday I finished the observation tower. I scrapped my first building since it wasn't coming out right. So now the new one has four levels. The lower level has 3 entrances,2 of which is for the observation tower part.

**edited* added photos

This is the front of the building. You can see how I did the windows. There are 3 entrances; two for visitors and one for the employees that work in the offices.

hotel

The back of the building is solid brick.

I don't have a lot of shutters so, that's why some of the windows don't have any.

have some coffee.

There is a telephone near the desk.

I also made a little information rack.

Lego Kit Instructions

While looking around EBay for some lego lots. I came across this link that shows the kit instuctions for lego sets until 2005.

On the sidebar click on the link for "Lego Kit Instructions" and it will bring you to the page.

I was drooling over the kits that were out there while I was growing up and missed out on.

Hotel/Observation Tower

On Sunday I had created a two story hotel. This idea came from the old Main Street set, which had a hotel on it but it was small. Inside I have a reception desk, a information area, there is also a couple of seats around a coffee machine. I also found a tree to put inside the lobby.

I'll post some picutes of the hotel as soon as the camera gets downloaded again.

Also on Sunday I started to make an observation tower. The first design didn't come out very well, so I took it apart today and tried again. Well I still don't have a clue on how it should look. The way it's built at the moment is the layers keep going in a row all the way up. Towards the top I have 2 levels where a person can look out from.

I don't have any pictures of the tower just yet, but I'll take some before recreating it.

I need bricks

With all the projects I've been making lately my supply of bricks is quickly depleting. I don't have enough plates that I can use as roofs, so some of my structures are going to have an open feeling.

The lego catalog doesn't sell what I need. The only way I'll get some more bricks is if I buy a bucket at Wal-Mart which is cheaper than buying the stuff in the catalog.

When yard sale season comes around I just have to bite the bullet and pay what the person wants.

Next project/misc

I'm thinking for my next project it will be either a school or a town/city hall.

If there is anyone that is interested in how I made some of the projects I have posted, just leave a comment and I'll tell you.
